Make Annotation highlights exportable to PDF
« on: June 20, 2015, 12:37:16 PM »
Annotations has the very useful feature of highlighting the edits made.

I would like to retain these highlights when making a PDF of the revised text, so that the author can more easily find the edits when checking corrections.

How can I do that?

Hi Gawie,
unfortunately current version is still one way only (pdf > ID).
As of now we're not ready to release a version embedding the notes to pdf during export. Do yoy think a workaround with converting the highlight to a visible highlight on a separate layer would work for you? This way it would stay in the document after the export (without any comments though)

Thanks,

Jan

Thanks Jan. I never saw your reply at the time, but started wondering about the issue again more than 18 months later!

All I'm trying to achieve is to be able to print/export the revised ID document with the highlights still showing. But I can't figure out how they're applied in the document. I can see the colour swatches but not where/how they are used. Can you help with advice on how I can approach this?
