Layer Comps vs History

This sort of question comes quite often: hi, could you clarify to me the benefit of Layer Comp vs History
when in comes to creating Snapshots of a doc stages?
Answer:
Layer Comps takes snapshots of different layer settings and combinations. To create snapshots of stages, I'd recommend using History plug-in and its versions feature. This way you can store multiple instances within one document not limited to having all layout alternatives distributed into different layers.
