I am having problems with InDesign crashing that seems to point to History.

I am using InDesign CS4 on MacOS X 10.5.8. History version 2.3.

InDesign runs very stable... Unless I am working on a file with saved states in History. Here is a typical scenario:

I open a new document with no History saved states. I save a state. Make some changes and save a revised state, then close the document. So far so good.

I return to the finder and then back to InDesign to create a new document or open an existing document. The history pallet is no longer visible on screen and after a few seconds, InDesign unexpectedly shuts down.

This ONLY happens immediately following working on a document with saved History states. It makes no difference if the document is simple or complex.
