Hi,

please send us your serial number to support@dtptools.com. Also, it sometimes happens that Layer Tools users click a milimeter away and download Layer Comps or Layer Groups installer instead. Any chance this is what happened, the error message you describe is the one you'd get in this case?

Thanks,

Jan Macuch

Hello,

I purchased a Layer Tools Bundle for Indesign and I can't activate it in CS5 on my new computer (Mac Pro). I always have a message with "This Bundle is unknown, please check whether you installed the las version of the entire product bundle."
My version of Layer Tools is up to date (when I verify it with the "updates menu").
I can't post my serial number here but I can send it in private mail to the someone of the team

Thanks for your help.

Hi, unfortunately this is not a problem with Cross-References, but wiht hyperlinks within document in general. Since the merging is done in Acrobat, there's nothing our plug-in can do to prevent the loss of hyperlinks.

Best regards,

Jan

I have an issue that is really confusing me. I have a large InDesign document (550 pages) with extensive cross-referencing (they are all page references). I had all Source Markers and Cross-References built correctly and working in InDesign. The client would like me to provide a PDF with all page references intact and active in the PDF, so by turning on the "Hyperlink" option to all cross references, and making sure the "Hyperlink" box was checked when creating the PDF, I was able to do that, and everything worked great. Here's the issue. I have had to make revisions to a few of the pages in the document. I check to make sure that everything is still set the same, and I make a PDF with only the revised pages (making sure the "Hyperlink" box was checked again). I open up the original PDF and the new PDF with just the revised pages, and I replace the old pages with the new ones. However, the hyperlinks both to and from the revised pages seem to now be inactive (even though I still get the hand icon when I mouse over the appropriate page number text). The new pages are named exactly the same as the original pages, and as I said, all other settings are the same as well. I didn't want to have to create another full PDF of this large document (VERY time consuming), and I assumed that all hyperlinks would still link correctly to and from the revised pages. an I get some advice on what to do, or if the preservation of hyperlinks with replaced pages is even possible? Thanks!

Hi Denise,

Did you try changing to a different shortcut preset? That can populate the list.

Best regards,

Jan

that's why I took the post down, apparently it only crashes on some machines which makes it hard to test. We'll be posting a new fixed version very soon. Send us mail to support@dtptools.com, so I can send you the plug-in in advance to make sure it performs well on your computer.

Thanks,

Jan

Hi!
I just installed the version from yesterday and unfortunately i have still crashes.

An example: I create one normal layer, and then another normal one, and one again. By creating the third one ID crashes.

Cheers
Konrad
